BRADLEY VAN VECHTEN, CFP®, CIMA, CLU, ChFC, AIF®
Independent, Fee Only, Certified Financial Planner™.

I am the Principal and founder of Private Wealth Management Solutions, LLC ‐ (PWMS). My belief is that good financial planning does not have to be complex or confusing. PWMS specializes in assisting individuals and their family members as well as small to mid‐size businesses with their financial needs.

As a fee-only financial advisor,  I do not “sell” financial products, I offer services based on either an annual fee bill monthly (Wealth Management) or an hourly basis (Financial Planning), which will be determined by your individual needs.

As an investment advisor registered with the states of Washington and California, I am committed to my clients and to the standards set forth by law to provide guidance and advice to my clients that are in your best interests and not compromised in any way by commissions or financial incentives. I am completely focused on providing the best solutions for you, your family, and your employees and I abide by the fiduciary standards required by law. I encourage you and all my clients to carefully research any financial advisor prior to engagement on this site http://www.brokercheck.finra.org.

Find out what financial planning certifications really mean and why they matter.

Financial planning certifications represent over seven years of spending my nights and weekends studying to add as much value to my client’s lives as humanly possible given their individual circumstances. Most people think that all financial planners, stock brokers, and insurance salespeople are “certified”, but this isn’t true.

They are certainly licensed, but anyone can call themselves a “financial planner” (unfortunately). Only those who have fulfilled the certification and continuing  education requirements of the CFP Board can display the CFP® certification marks. When choosing a financial planner, you need to feel confident and trust that your advisor is both competent and ethical and has your best interest at heart.

MEET JENNIFER

Paraplanner

I have been in the financial services industry for over a decade, focused solely on creating and developing comprehensive financial plans for advisor’s clients. I began doing this when I launched the planning unit of MetLife’s Financial Planning Division, helping to grow and support more than 50 advisors across the Pacific Northwest. I left MetLife in 2013 to become an independent paraplanner servicing RIAs across the country. I have been involved in creating at least 1,000 financial plans to date.

Prior to entering this industry, I recruited physicians to the Medicaid managed care network. The job entailed persuading doctors that they should provide service to Medicaid patients because they had a moral responsibility to do so. I would not say it was the most fun occupation in the world, but it was very rewarding.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Administration from Indiana University. My favorite classes were accounting, hospital finance, and statistics. While I was employed at MetLife, I passed my series 6, 63 and 65 and life/health licenses, but chose to let them lapse after leaving the company. I enjoy advancing my knowledge through participating in peer study groups and attending conferences and webinars. I also enjoy reading and listening to industry-related media.

When working on financial plans with my advisors, I strive to understand the entire picture, but my strength is paying close attention to the details and discovering subtleties many advisors do not recognize. My dedication to my work often inspires my advisors to get excited about the contributions we are making to our client’s financial welfare and as a result, their lives.

I pride myself in balancing the need to do things efficiently but accurately. I have found this leads to innovative solutions for my advisor’s clients.

I’m an avid skier and hiker, living in Bellevue, WA with my husband and two children. We travel as often as possible to remote places in our 1984 Westfalia Vanagon. I enjoy reading all kinds of books and have been a member of a book club for over 7 years.
I thrive in environments where I must deal with unexpected requests, unanticipated problems and changing priorities. And this is why I love this profession. There are no two families that earn, save, and spend the same way.

I am a bit of a coffee snob. You would think living in the Seattle area, I would not have trouble finding suitable coffee, but you’d be wrong. I ship mine in from Kaladi Coffee Roasters in Denver – Best. Coffee. Ever.
